Handmade Hazel Wood & Blackened Brass Handle • 160mm

Each handle is formed from a carefully selected piece of Hazel wood — a species known for its distinctive (and tough!) bark. The wood is treated with a food-safe oil finish to enhance its natural texture and protect it for daily use, giving it a tactile feel that only improves with time.

This Hazel handle is mounted on hand-knurled brass stems that have been chemically blackened, using a traditional process originally developped for rifles. A finish applied by hand and considered for it's visual subtlety and richness. This treatment transforms the natural brightness of brass into a soft, darkened tone, allowing the piece to sit comfortably within darker palettes or to contrast beautifully against lighter cabinetry. The knurling itself is fine and understated, adding a subtle level of detail. As always, the construction is entirely mechanical, no adhesives. Ensuring durability while celebrating the authenticity of the materials.
